The organizations featured in this collection are focusing on providing food and shelter to families across the United States. As coronavirus continues to disrupt everyday life, an extra strain has been put on many of these organizations - many which are needed now more than ever. Volunteer shortages and social distancing measures means nonprofits such as Feeding America and City Harvest are in dire need of donations. The National Low Income Housing Coalition is providing constant resources, updates, and guidance regarding coronavirus as it relates to housing and homelessness. With a goal to relieve childhood hunger, Share our Strengthās No Kid Hungry provides meals to children across the nation. Meals on Wheels, a favorite of Millie, is providing food to seniors to ensure they consume healthy and nutritious meals, which is especially critical at a time like this. Hope and Comfort continues to support hygiene items for children in need. And your local shelters are needing more support, so we've included Boston-based St. Francis House. Plan International is focused on supporting girls and their families who were already vulnerable are now in even more danger. These nonprofits are helping tens of thousands of people across the country everyday, and any contribution would be greatly needed!

Share Our Strength's mission is to end hunger and poverty in the U.S. and abroad. How do we do that? Through our campaigns, like No Kid Hungry, which will end childhood hunger in the United States, and Cooking Matters, which helps low-income families learn to shop and cook healthier. Itās a big job, but weāre not alone. We believe that everyone has a strength to share to help ensure every individual can live a healthy and productive life.
St. Francis House rebuilds lives by providing refuge and pathways to stability for adults experiencing homelessness and poverty every day.
The National Low Income Housing Coalition is dedicated solely to achieving socially just public policy that ensures people with the lowest incomes in the United States have affordable and decent homes. Educate: We educate lawmakers and the public about the need for affordable homes. Mobilize: We mobilize members and supporters across the country to advocate for good housing policy. Shape Public Opinion: We shape public opinion of low income housing issues.

We are outraged that girls around the world face injustices that threaten their education, safety and ultimately their lives. Together with adolescent girls and supporters like you, we're working to end child marriage, human trafficking and other injustices preventing youth, especially girls, from growing into their potential. COVID-19 update: The fight for gender equality cannot take a backseat right now. Girls who were already vulnerable are in even more danger. When schools close their doors, girls are at the highest risk of never going back again. When health care resources are diverted, girls lose crucial services. And in times of crisis, like this pandemic, harmful practices like child marriage, trafficking and gender-based violence dramatically escalate. We arenāt giving up, and we know you arenāt either. Weāll be here, every day, making sure girls are safe and healthy and that their futures arenāt compromised. But we really canāt do this without you.
