Rockford Area Breakfast Club

A place for area youth to start their day with a meal and a faith-based message of love and caring.

Vision - To create a dedicated space for the students of Rockford and surrounding communities where they can safely bond with one another and hear the words of Jesus.

Our Mission - To plant the see of Jesus in the hears of students.

We were founded in 2023 with a mission and a vision to serve the students from Rockford and surrounding communities. The land across from Rockford High School has been purchased and donated to us by an 1979 Rockford graduate. He is also President of our board, founder and a $500,000 Cornerstone donor. We are established as a 501c3 with a Board of Directors, Steering Committee, and Executive Director. The building plans have just recently been completed and are being costed out by our general contractor who donated their services. We are actively fundraising for the estimated $3,000,000 building with a goal to begin construction of tHE ROCK in the spring of 2024 and possibly open for the fall school year. We have already received approximately $1,300,000 pledged in cash donations and/or in-kind services for construction and have some strong community businesses and leaders involved in the project. While we will not be an event center, open to the public for rent or use, tHE ROCK will have many more uses than just hosting the weekly faith-based breakfast. Rockford activities will be able to request use of the building for year-end banquets and other student-related activities. We will have a student lounge/mission room for small student events and to promote community giving organizations. Offices are planned for mental health and possibly tutoring services. Use of the catering kitchen will be offered to community groups such as Riverworks Lunch Box Program and Our Father's Lutheran Nourishing Hope program to support their missions. We are developing the use of the building as we go, always keeping in mind that this is being built for the kids. It is their space, where they can safely bond with one another and hear the word of Jesus.
