Arizona Science Center

Established

The mission of Arizona Science Center is to inspire, educate and engage curious minds through science. We strive to champion science learning every day through our onsite experiences at the Center, and through our many STEM education programs for students and professional development training for teachers.

By participating in our PreK Science on Wheels programs, we’ve seen children’s familiarity and confidence with STEM increase. For example, integrating the engineering design process into the activities, children start to exercise creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. They also strengthened their language skills by learning new vocabulary in both English and Spanish, along with collaborating with others. Parents, caregivers, and families have also been impacted by learning new, effective ways to teach STEM to young children. They’ve also had the opportunity to spend more quality time together learning new things, and working through STEM projects and activities together.
