“When you are a young single parent and you are struggling, you just feel lost. It’s hard to feel love and acceptance, but when you go to CWEE you get all of that. It is a place where we are all in it together, where we all hold each other up. Everyone there is trying to better themselves for our kids and ourselves, and that’s what CWEE gives you, there is so much love there.” -Linda

CWEE Digital Skills and Career Pathways

The initial phase of CWEE’s program is focused on communication, accountability, computer training, digital literacy, and career discovery. Through online classes, as well as individual coaching and instruction, participants will learn and apply skills that are essential for success on the job and in life. Once this is complete, CWEE participants focus on fostering workplace readiness skills and their career readiness portfolio. Then, participants can further their education and receive their high school equivalency diploma at CWEE, or jump into searching for long term, quality employment.

Holistic Services and Steps to Success

CWEE is known for the holistic wraparound supports we provide our participants to break down barriers and grow self-sustaining families. These services include assistance with mental health, childcare, transportation, technology, and providing connections to other community services. During the first year of employment, CWEE offers intensive retention support services to our recent graduates and alumni. Through scheduled check-ins, skill-building workshops, educational opportunities, and financial support, we want to help CWEE graduates succeed — throughout their career.
